the database for this today is 152222 trojan !!!!!! its larger than KAV!!!
very big right ??
is it better than kasprsky in trojan detaction rate?
what is the differnet between KAV and ewido ?

The new beta ver 3.5 contains 163,030 right now, but comparing the way one company counts defs to another is like comparing apples to oranges.

Sorry, I'm not qualified to answer that one.

Ewido seems to be aimed at detecting all the malware that typical AV's leave behind (trojans, keyloggers, spyware...).
KAV on the other hand tries to detect everything!

The problem with Ewido is it can't detect keyloggers and other riskware nearly as good as KAV. In fact it stinks at detecting keyloggers. It's GREAT at detecting trojans though. If you do rely on it for keylogger detection, don't say you weren't warned.

I did some of my own tests with Ewido and it did terrible against keyloggers. The free version of Ewido that is.

Not that I ever thought Ewido to be a full keylogger solution, but that doesn't inspire much confidence, sorry.

how do u manually update ewido? i notice on the splash screen says ?28/05/2005 even though i updated here and installed said complete?
