My apologies if I am posting my thread in the wrong place...

With reference to this thread: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=83634

I've confirmed myself that there is really a Windows Update v6 site, and its genuine, not fake/pirated/spoofed.

Technical information courtesy of Donna Buenaventura [Microsoft MVP]

Microsoft Update is now called MU if users will access it in http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate <-- that is the MU

If users will access http://update.microsoft.com <-- it is still MU but it URL doesn't say so.
