Hello superrobert,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Could you please what you mean by "another boot cd or disket to install image in order to use acronis boot cd"? What CD do you need? You may create Acronis Bootable CD, also you may store the images on CD. However, you will be able to store the image on Acronis Bootable CD only if the image is small enough to suit the CD. You may split the image so that you could store one part on the Acronis Bootable CD.

Acronis True Image is able to burn images on CDs automatically.

Thank you.

You have to use the Acronis boot CD to restore an Acronis image. You can however look at and manipulate files (including Acronis Image files) on your hard disk using other means such as a Bart CD but you need the Acronis CD to restore an Acronis image. I don't think you can lauch an Acronis boot CD from the Bart environment without rebooting with the Acronis boot CD in your CD rom tray.

Hello superrobert,

You can only use Acronis Bootable CD to restore your image on your hard drive. If you want to burn the image on CD, you should run "Create Image" wizard and select your CD drive in "Image Archive Selection" window. You can also create the image on your hard drive and split it, then save it on CD.

Hopefully answered all your questions well. If you have questions, please feel free to ask us again.

Thank you.
