wat does spywareblaster only prevent spyware from IE or firefox?

wat about if u download something through a P2P could spywareblaster prevent that particular spyware??????

Prevents ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted software from installing on your computer
Prevents Hijack on homepage
Protection againest bad sites on IE/FireFox/Mozilla
