desctop snatched

elo...long time since ive been on.

this has hapned to me before,but for the life of me i cant remember how i fixed it...

windows antispyware said it spotted 'lookingfor dialer'

i have had this before,and the most obvious symptome was my desctop background being replaced with a black screen with nonsence written on it and a link.

windows spyware managed to remove it...kinda!!

the blank screen is gone,but now remains an ever changing screen from my original background,and a white screen.... the white screens properties say: file://C:\WINDOWS\Web\desktop.html

any help would be much apreciated! :)

thought wilders wasnt doing hijackthis reports now tho?

which steps do u recomend i follow...creating the file in notebook sounds familiar.

You are correct in that Wilders is NOT doing hijack logs. I would go to one of the sites listed.

hey i posted this ages ago,but have been puting up with the blank screen and desctop recovery screen instead of fixing the problem....its really starting to bother me,and i was just wondering which would be the most likely solution to my problem (post at top of page)

and what i could use to fix it...many thanks :)
