Hi,

I go to a website called:

www.thepai***ntersnetwork.com

but in the last day or two I have gotten website not found errors when trying to go there, which I think is indicative that the site now is using cookies that spywareguard or spywareblaster doesn't like. Could someone who uses these two software packages tell me if they have the same problem when trying to access the site so that I can tell whether this is the problem or whether i have to look elsewhere to fix the problem. (remove the *** of course).

Any help is appreciated,

otto

Welcome to Wilders otto,

Concerning thepaintersnetwork.com....it's not a site that's listed in Spywareblasters Cookie or Restricted Sites database....and SpywareGuard could not be causi ng it either.

I personally from here can not even tracert or ping that site via the URL.

Even tho Google does have a cache (http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:AsI7Szxf20kJ:www.thepaintersnetwork.com/+&hl=en) of the site....it appears they are simply down at the moment....for whatever reason.

Regards,
Bubba

Thanks, Bubba

I appreciate you looking into that for me. It being down would definitely cause the error page i guess :P I was under the impression that SpywareGuard would cause a page with malicious spyware to download with a similar error message, but I may have it confused with IE-Spyad or another program that does that. No need to waste your time answering that question though, I will read up on the link that explains how SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard work that I saw referenced on this site someplace. Thanks again for your help.
