Acronis True Image 8.0 inserts two startup files that run in background:

schedhlp.exe
and
TrueImageMonitor

What are these processes and can I remove them? I only do manual backups - I have no need for a scheduler.

Are there any other startups or services I am not aware of?

Those threads are confusing. I wanted an update on the issue.

From what I can gather, the user of Acronis True Image 8.0 is best advised to leave all those services running.
