I have saved an image using True Image 8.0. I saved the image onto an external USB device. After re-installing a fresh version of Windows XP Pro, I want to restore that image. When I boot from the Rescue CD, the Acronis loader says that it cant load the USD device because the USB device wont accept an address change (?) (address=2)
What is going on here and how do I get visibility to my external USB device for a restore?
Also, I added a second hard drive to my system but when I boot into the Rescue OS, I cant even see the second drive?
Any help would be appreciated

Hello blamoureux,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).
First of all, please make sure you use the latest build. We recommend you to update your copy of Acronis True Image 8.0 (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/updates/) to the 826 build. In order to get access to updates you should register account (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/registration/) on our site (or just log in if you have already created it) and then register your copy of the product (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/products/registration/).
Please make sure Acronis Bootable CD is created with the latest build (826) of Acronis True Image. If so please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround and if it doesn't help please create sysinfo.txt and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread (please see http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the detailed instructions). Also let us know vendor of the USB drive and exact model of the USB drive.
Thank you.

Hi blamoureux,
I think I may have had the same problem. Have you tried to complete power-off both the PC and the external USB-disk before you reboot?
You can also try to turn-off the USB-disk, then turn-on it back-on when the message appears. I know it is a long shoot, but if it works....
