This sounds pretty good to me, but I don't know enough to truly judge what's going on here.

{QUOTE-> Finally, we computed the percentage difference of performance and determined that the system tested performed 10.37% slower with Panda TruPrevent installed. <-QUOTE}

I'm no AV expert, but the test sounds pretty good to me too; but the above statement is discouraging to me. I prefer as little system drag as possible.

Panda isn't bad at detection I would rate it top 5 for sure... But it's dragging peoples computers, and I personally noticed stablity problems :(

Every test I've seen does not support that statement.

Wich one of the two? About detection or recource usage?

I´ve just read this article, and if true it´s kind of amazing, I wonder how they tested it. Maybe we should ask AV Comparative to check it out. ::)

Truprevent is a IDS system, AV comparative only does straight scans.

Oh then I misunderstood it, I thought it was some kind of advanced Heuristics. :)

In a way you can say its heuristics (heck everything can be seen as a form of heuristics). But it's not the normal kind used in scans. It's more like a behaviourial blocker.

That is why if you have another AV (not Panda), you can actually buy Truprevent and use it without buying the whole Panda Antivirus.
