installing new version over older one

Do I need to uninstall older version before installing new version?

if so, do i need to uncheck and remove the killbits and then uninstall, and install new one, and have it install the killbits into the registry?

or will the new one when i download it, auto update the old one..

i just dont want any conflicts, and i dont want 2 versions on my machine... thanks

All you need to do is download the latest version and select the same folder that the older version is installed in - the installer will take care of cleaning up the old files and installing the new ones.
