PC Tools has released a free software application that stops rogue spyware from hijacking your Web browser and Web links. The latest Web hijacker infections target online shoppers as they browse search engines, online stores, news sites, software download sites and other popular sites. These new infections can burrow deep into your PC, often concealing themselves from detection, and insert their own Web links when you search for specific topics or view targeted content while browsing. Following infection with a Web hijacker, clicking on an originally legitimate link may redirect your browser to another, often undesirable site in its place. Hijack Guard is the first product of its type designed to detect and disable these infections on your PC - and it's free!
