Hi all,

How can i clear the crowded "open with" list in win 2000? if i use the registry file ext delete method [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts]
,would it affect files with such deleted extensions and they wont be opened later on even if their program is still installed?

Any suggestion for a software or other method ?
Please advise if i shall copy to other forum subject .

Thank you very much .

If you like to delete certain type (not all the list) here u go
http://www.dougknox.com/
then choose "Win XP Utilities" from the left panel then
Download "Clear Open With Lists" its an exe file (good utility)

Actually I'm not sure about the utility. Hope some one else used it on win2k. but there is no harm to try it. since its a utility (doesnt install any thing on ur system) need to unzip and run thats it.
