hi, i wanted to ask what you use to listen to the radio? and if you could post some links to some of the popular radio stations where you live, even if they aren't you favourite staions. and you can also post your favourites too.

here are some from London. **NOTE** all the times are British Summer Time GMT+1. so this post is at 5.33PM

Capital Radio: popular music and from 10-12 at night there's Jezza's Capital Confessions (http://www.capitalfm.com/sectional.asp?id=1804) which is more talking then music about people's confessions and asking for help to problems.

Virgin Radio: another popular music station.

Talk Sport: talk station, mainly about sport :D but in the evenings it isn't about sport but lots of other very good topics. some fun things like UFOs and the paranormal to controversial topics and people; that is mainly James Whale, he is on at 10 O'clock. i would recommend you listen to him when he is on later today.

BBC Radio 4: a more serious station about the news, you can hear interviews with politicians, Current Affairs, important world affairs etc. very good station.

BBC Five Live: live news and sports broadcaster.

so, as well as posting good stations to listen to can you also say what you use to listen to them? in the past i used WMP and there was/is a way to program in the stations you want and there are a fair few preinstalled stations, but i can't find it any more, can you show me how to do it? thanks

This is a very good radio which is freeware and has many stations built in. I have been using it for a couple of years so take a look at let me know what you think
As for the WMP all you have to do is to click on the guide button and then on the radio button which then brings you to your radio station's
As for myself i just store the URLs in a directory and load them as and when required

hi, Nick thanks for the links, the player looks good. i have a DVD that has 1000's of very good freeware programs on it and that is one of the radios it recommends. so as that's two good recommendations i'll go and get it :)

i just tried WMP, i clicked Guide and then when i clicked Radio the screen stayed blank, do you know why that might happen?

i hope someone else gives some links to some stations :(

Hi all, I have used this two programs to listen radio:

1.-Viddi Radio Player .- very good and free, I like it the best because I can add radio station to the data base, so that it doesn´t have limits about the number of stations that you can listen. Besides, you can save the archive (archive BIN) of your favorites, so that if you reinstall your system, there is no problem to listen all the radio station you have found trough the months or years.

2.-Vtuner.- Very good radio program, more than 3000 stations added. It is shareware.

Two programs are good, but I like more Viddi because I can add radio stations and while it is working it does´t open realplayer or windows media programs to listen radio stations.

ITe internet radio stations i listen to are www.idobi.com its a station that plays punk music. You go tosite wfill in a form and request a track its allautomated but they do have presenters on certaindays of the week, proble is the time difference its lik2 in the morning for me when they come on lol so to early.

Totalrock.com is also good based in london. Plays alsorts of rock, from heavy metal to punk,tobattle metal and like ye olde rock n role lol.

i mainly use ipodder (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/iPodder.html) now. it's just like an RSS feed reader, but for podcasts. you don't need an ipod and can just play the shows with your media player
