Maximum Image Size

Hi all,

we have a problem to image our file-server data partitions. The Image Size is about 20 - 25 GB. Don´t know why there is a problem to image such a size? ??? We have checked the machine and everything seems to be okay:

1 GB RAM checked with MEMTEST86 latest Version= No Error

4 IBM HD´s checked with IBM Drive Fitness Test latest Version= No Error

Realtek Onboard Network Card was checked with the monitoring Port of our Switch= No Error occur when imaging the File-Server on our Image Server

The File-Server is a NT Server 4.0 SP6a with latest Patches and Hotfixes and Drivers.

We are using TI 8 Build 826

We can create an image of these two partitions without any problems. But when we try to check the image it says always that the image is bad. The Recovery also doesn´t work. >:(

Does somebody have an idea what can be also checked?

We are imaging over a switch with monitoring functions.(Level One GSW-2490 with latest Firmware)

Are there any limitations in Image Size? Some Folders have long directory names? Does Acronis have problems to image this?

The maximum partition size supported by Acronis software is 2 Terabytes. Of course, not all file systems support partitions up to 2 Terabytes, then Acronis software will support the maximum partition size for that particular file system.

The maximum size for the hard disk as a whole is 2 Terabytes as well due to to the MBR structure.

Could you please create Acronis Report (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317) and send it to support@acronis.com along with a detailed description of your problem (Where did you save the backup images? Have you tried to explore the images that are reported as corrupted? Sometimes it is possible to explore corrupted image and recover the main part of the data).
