AOL Account being used By someone else

I havent been able to use my computer for about a week due to my machine being at PC world for my DVDburner replaced.

But tonight after i got my machine back i logged onto my AOL broadband and everything was fine for a couple of hours, but then my AOL connection cut off and it said it was due to someone logging into AOL in a different location with my Screen-name.

This is making me very worried. As last week i had this trojan on my machine that i was worried about.

I have scanned tonight with MSAS, spybot and macafee enterprise and it does not seem to be there no more. But somehow someone knows my AOL screen name and password.

I am worrying as to what else could be compromised, i.e my National lottery, Ebay, paypal and stormpay passwords.

Should i be worried, if so what do i do. And how did this happen.

I'd start with logging into AOL and changing the password. AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Also change the passwords for all your other online activities like ebay etc. You may be lucky and it wasn't someone logged into your account. It may have been a problem with the server and that it 'interpreted' it as someone else being logged in. Can't harm to change the password.

Also try scanning using an online scanner or two just for a second opinion.

If I was ever in a situation where my machine had to go to a shop for service I'd erase the drive & install oem windows before I'd let em have it. When I got it back I'd reimage with all settings & personal info.

Go back to PC World and tell them your AOL account was hijacked, then play dumb and ask for their 'security advice' just to see the reaction. Mention your old AOL password in casual conversation see if anyone becomes uneasy or exits the room.
