Question about auto fill and saved passwords...

I use Firefox and was wondering if I should disable the auto-fill and saved passwords feature? Is there anyway for someone to get that info through malicious programs? I'm not so worried about someone physically gaining access to my computer as I am them cracking passwords and usernames? Any thoughts?

I did a search as best I could on the subject and couldn't find anything, so I'm sorry if this has been covered...
