This morning a anonymous poster at Broadband Reports Security Forum (http://www.dslreports.com/forum/security) had their Topic censored, i.e., deleted from the forum.

This is a copy of the Topic, Advantages of Dial up ISP's, that was censored by BBR moderators earlier.

-{ Quote: "First, dial up ISP's assign a new IP with each login; thwarting directed hack, DDoS attacks on fixed addresses.

Second, with dynamic IP's, greater anonymity/privacy is assured.

Third, the danger of remote censorship is limited; dynamic IP's are difficult if not impossible to single out and block.

Fourth, a dial up ISP can be accessed through any phone connection.

Fifth, monthly service is cheaper than broadband." }-

What possible reason would BBR censors have for deleting that? ???

Well I guess that info can be used by hackers to thwart the new methods of privacy protection. ???

It may be likely this topic is edited or deleted here too.... :-\

Can't be. Hackers would already be well informed of this fact.

This is not a place to discuss or critique the actions of other boards or their mods. I will add that it cannot actually fit the definition of "censorship" when the medium is private such as that forum. Topic closed.
