I'm a little bit confused regarding rescue disks or bootable disks for WinXP. From what I understand a Dos scanner will not be able to repair infected NTFS partitions. So a program like F-Prot Dos scanner wouldn't help a person trying to clean a WinXP Pc with an NTFS partition, right?

What do you people use when trying to clean a pc that won't boot. I just downloaded Linuxdefender live & am going to try that, but I'd like something preferably with a Kaspersky engine if possible.

I keep a set of panda rescue floppies handy. (5 disc's) works just fine in xp

Although this bootable cd does not come with Kaspersky, I find it to be a great tool for cleaning a lot of computers that I see. It can be found at- http://nyquil-kid.dyndns.org/
It is updated regularly and best of all it is free and it works in XP.

Just get Linuxdefender by Bitdefender: Here's the page (http://www.bitdefender.com/bd/site/products.php?p_id=40).
