I've been using a trial of eScan Antivirus.
As a clone of KAV it had to be a good antivirus.
Actually I have not had a good experience, particularly because of its limitated capabilities of scanning compressed files.
Besides not every file is scanned, but only predetermined extensions.
Have got you any experience with this av?
Thanks in advance.

Well,
eScan's been great for me so far but the updates......looks like they disabled the Xbases now, except for the free version :'(
You can take out the compressed file restrictions y'know. Just start On-Demand Scanner, go to options and see the restrictions tab.

It's not too bad since it uses KAV engine/databases... But that interface, holy crap... I'd reather go with the "normal" KAV or F-Secure...

1) eScan works with mwav.exe v. 4.75. Can I replace it with the latest version of mwav.exe or it might be problems with the kernel?
2) I was surprised because scanning on demand my system this av didn't recognize some infected mail (Calypso v 3.30 is my mail program). On the contrary KAV and F-Secure found them.

I bought a three years license to eScan but went to NOD32 quite soon because eScan dissapoints a lot...

1)I have successfully replaced MWAV without any problems :)
2)I submitted a hell of a lot of on-demand scanner bugs to them before starting to use ArcaVir. Lets see if its fixed in the next build
