Just trailed this and seems to work very well.
Any feedback from the gurus here?? ;D
BTW. The inbuild firewall is licenced from Sygate. Cant be bad then??

I would rate PandaAV as an average antivirus software. I think there are far better ones on the market. For the personal firewall: it is as 'crap' as all the other personal firewalls... ;)

I did beta testing for Panda Plat AV, for $23..
I own the program, but don't use it...

The AV is actually quite good. Very Automatic.. Removes email and System Virii with hardly any input from the user.

The Scanner is slow, on a par with Norton...and I mean SLOW!!!!

The firewall is good too, but it has no Privacy features, They are asking $69 for the program. I think they could at least have privacy features in it. At least a Pop Up Ad Blocker!

Support is matter of luck. It depends who you get. I generally found them very lax, slow, and in need of taking a course of "English as a second Language"...

Symantec's support is I think better!

Without being prejudiced, I think ESET's is the best..
I basically will steer away from suites. Something is always missing..

Out of all the security suites, the only one I would be forced to recommend is Norton's. (Norton Internet Security)....
But the program is brutal.. If you add up Zone Alarm Pro, and NOD32, I think the disk requirement is still smaller than NIS.. I think the firewall part is a beautiful component of NIS, but it's bloated and SLOW at startup..The AV is what I get scared of.. I have very little faith in it.. Also, it's slower than ever.. They are "De-Evolving..!"

You still need a TrojanScanner for either Panda or NIS, or Nod..

But 69 usd. is far too much.
Just as expensive as ex. NIS 2003.
Between the two NIS have more features( as you said)

I agree with everything Straight Shooter said, except for the OT comments about NIS. Regarding Panda, it is a solid AV and I would trust it to protect my system, even though I've been using NAV for longtime now on all three of my home boxes. Panda also has an excellent website and virus encyclopedia documenting their product. ;)
