Hi,
As anyone else noticed that when visiting http://www.antiviruslab.com/newentries.php?lang=gb no Bitdefender defs have been added since the 24th March!
Normally you see AVK (KAV) updates added during the day and then a daily bitdefender update as well?
Are users still getting Bitdefender updates or has one not been released since the 24th?
Cheers
Jlo

I was noticing the same thing earlier this morning. Last update I got was on the 24th (BD 15.0.474). KAV updates are normal. Just sent them an email, we'll see what they say if anything.

My guess is that there's a licensing issue. Did anyone figure out which BD engine 2005 is using?

Nope, but I'm happy to start the guessing game rolling: I have \Program Files\Common Files\G DATA\AVKScanner\bdf\bdcore.dll which is the BitDefender AVCORE and is file version 7.0.0.2293

Sorry, should clarify I meant GData and them licensing the engine/defs from BD.
Thanks for the scoop on the engine.

Is there a reason you would guess there is a licensing issue? I would guess that someone has taken a looong Easter weekend.

Nahhh...I would just guess that GDATA did take an Easter weekend off....and the one guy who was trying to obtain BD updates couldnt because of crowded BD servers and therefore he said what the heck! ;D

Could be, never know. Granted they are a Euro company, folks tend to view time away from work a bit differently.
However, if it's been a week, that seems like it's on the outside of acceptable.
Edit... NM... thought it was longer. BD does release regular updates. Odd that the process isn't automated.

Well, just got a BD update, it had over 1000 entries...so it looks like they have caught up. ;D

That's a relief, I was beginning to get a bit twitchy.

Here we go again, now I haven´t seen an update since yesterday. Neither for the KAV-engine nor the BD-engine.

My updates stopped sometime early yesterday and had not resumed until around 2 PM EST today. I'm up to date now at KAV 4072, BD 487.
How spoiled we become, getting antsy when updates cease for a day or so on a weekend! Good thing they started again so I didn't have to cut my power cord and coaxial cable to feel safe again.
