Nice tests Oleg, :) Avant browser blocks most of these with it's default settings, the exceptions being the floating banner. floating pop up and the top corner pop up. I tried it with Avant as this uses IE as it's engine.
Will be interesting to see how other browsers do with their default settings?
Thanks. Pilli

Floating,Drop down popup, floating banner and sticky popup are based on flash so most of popup blockers can't block it so I would say your result Is normal.

Easy peasy, I just disabled java and javascript in my firefox browser, ran the test and no popups at all, nor were there any ''popups were blocked'' alerts.

You will need javascript for the most websites or they won't work.

I'm sure nadirah just disabled them temporarily so he could score 100% on the tests. ;) ;D

Only about three were able to get by FF with the Adblock extension, pretty good IMO.

No its not. Its one of my proactive security moves to disable java and javascript when running online pop-up tests. I can also use the adblock extension. ;D

And what does that achieve, besides a inflated 100% score?

That is cheating too, akin to using trainable popups blockers with blacklists to kill specific popup urls.
