Everytime I try to download latest protection updates I get the "database error" message. I've just downloaded SpywareBlaster 3.3 and I used to have no such problems with the older version. Please, help.

Could you try the suggested workaround in the link below:

Please let us know if that fixes it.

Also, since this is affecting only a few users, you could provide the following information which will help Javacool narrow down the problem:

1. Version of Windows
2. Anti-virus software installed
3. Firewall installed
4. Other security programs installed such as anti-spyware.
5. Ad-blocking/filtering programs you have installed.
6. Any other information that you think might be helpful.

Thanx a lot!

Now it works. Regarding your questions, I use Windows XP and Mozilla Firefox, no other anti-spyware/virus software installed.
