I think it just came out as download.com does not even have it up yet. I will have to get it later, good thing Mozilla makes upgrades to new versions painless.

Hi folks,

Any opinions on what the best way is to update? I mean, from the manual updater in 1.0.1 or download the entire browser from mozilla.org and delete 1.0.1 and then do a fresh install of 1.0.2. Thx 4 any help.

Prior to installing Firefox 1.0.2, please ensure that the directory you've chosen to install into is clean and doesn't contain any previous Firefox installations.

Hi,

Yeah the release is fresh. Since I downloaded 1.0.1 last night from mozzilla. Thereof could not have been released for over a month.

It is so new, it hasn't even been flagged in netscape.public.mozilla.announce

apparantly all users of firefox are advised to upgrade to fix a buffer overflow vulnerability in a Firefox feature for processing GIF image files. http://www.pcworld.com/resource/article/0,aid,120157,pg,1,RSS,RSS,00.asp
