I am running F-Secure on a 1 GHz AMD box 512 mb memory with no noticeable slowdown at all. There are a lot of processes running, but my comp remains very robust. I initially thought that I would see a very noticeable slowdown but that is not the case.
There is a link in one of the threads to download F-Secure for 6 months through M$. You can do a search and probably locate it to trial.
