downloaded it from diamondcs...wondering what causes its cfg files to change...been trying to learn what all is on the computer and how it works...really confusing sometimes. I now know what is in my autostart registry though. Thanks

yes regprot is a great little freeware app.
{QUOTE-> wondering what causes its cfg files to change... <-QUOTE}
basically if windows runs any files found in a certain registry key at start up without asking you first, then regprot will monitor that key in real time. So if an attempt is made to add a program to it, regprot asks you if it is ok. On install, regprot will ask you to confirm or deny every entry that is already there. *
Works great for getting rid of that loadqm.exe file.
