"Microsoft Corp. is now offering a convenient way for home and other nontechnical users to stay abreast of the latest security information and patches for Microsoft(R) products. Delivered via e-mail starting this month, the new Microsoft Security Update newsletter contains timely and prescriptive information on security issues in a clear and concise format. This is part of the ongoing Microsoft commitment to help all users protect their computers."

Umm, is this something new? I've been getting MS Security Bulletins automatically for longer than I can remember.

Well, the link above is dated Jan. 31 of this year, so it's probably either something new or a "new, improved" model of what you may already be getting.

I can't really tell you - since I haven't gotten anything from them yet (spam or otherwise).

They may be having problems finding a "politically correct" way to present the stuff, seeing as how it's all their screw-ups that have generated the service to start with. Pete
