Okay, here's the problem. I got a PM asking me where to buy a new subscription to DrWeb. I already had a link for such purchases but, due to recent *incorrect* DRW prices, I decided to check further before answering the PM -- I detest giving wrong information.

Here's what I found...
_/ 1- Price is $33.90
*Goto http://www.drweb.com/
*Click "buy" tab at top. Takes you to http://buy.drweb.com/?lng=en
*At "Where to Buy>Buy Online" click "electronic shop" link. This takes you to
https://secure.element5.com/esales/product.html?productid=300012884
*The price there is $33.90. It specifies version 4.32b, which is current.

_/ 2- Price is $29... maybe????
*Goto http://www.dials.ru/english/
*Above link redirects to http://old.antivir.ru/english/
##Notice added word: "old" :o
*Click Purchase button in left column of buttons takes you to
http://old.antivir.ru/english/commerce/
*Alongside "Doctor Web for Windows 95-XP: 1 license" click Buy Now
*You arrive at http://esd.element5.com/product.html?productid=502727
*Price there is old price of $29. However it states version 4.32a.

The question I cannot answer is, IF someone bought DRW on the $29 site & then tried to update it to version 4.32b, would it go through okay? I THINK it would. However, I am hoping someone who has recently purchased a NEW DrWeb license can throw added light on the matter.

HELLLLLP!

Normally it should be OK cause drweb is imho respectable.

I did this too with boclean (reseller) and everything turned out to be ok too so...but...you never know right?

Good grief, I put this in "other anti-trojan" whereas it should be in "other anti-virus." I shall try to get a Mod to fix my error.

In any event, Notox sent me a PM saying...-{ Quote: "Hi Bellgamin, I just bought DR. Web yesterday from the dialogue science site that you mentioned in your second link for $29.
I didn't check what version it was when I downloaded the file but after I did an update it does show version 4.32b.
Anyway I am happy with it and got the key file this morning after ordering last night." }-

so I pass that info on to all interested parties. How long will they retain the lower price? No idea.:P

Hey bellgamin, ;)

You can get it for free as a beta-tester. ;)

http://www.drweb.com/
http://beta.drweb.com/?lang=en

They give you a time limited key ... but it gets renewed. They'll send you the link once you sign up. It's a very nice AV btw. ;)

I didn't know this.:o Is it general knowledge here at Wilders? Perhaps you should consider posting this in its own thread, in case there are others who do not know of this.

I actually ran into about six months ago by chance ... and I've been very happy with it. ;)

To my knowledge the only beta testing occurring at the moment is for the adware/spyware bases.

Very ominous. The US distributor HERE (http://www.gdcom.us/?a=page&id=10) presently charges $39.99 for a 1 year license!! :o

Wow that price is high. I wonder if they provide support for the US side, kinda like Stormbyte for ArcaVir and Ice Systems for Kaspersky.
