Install failure PG v3.15 [Archive] - Wilders Security Forums

Help! When I install the Pro version it gets to the last step where it says "Finishing installation..." and then it just hangs. After a couple of mouse clicks the mouse pointer freezes and won't move - the computer stops responding completely. After cycling power I can go into Safe Mode and uninstall ProcessGuard successfully. A reboot into normal Windows then proceeds smoothly. I made sure that all programs were closed and that AV was stopped before the install. The OS is Windows 2000 Server SP4. Please help.

Hi Dave, That is unusual, if you had a previous installetion did you uninstall first?
If not please check the following after an uninstall.
Remove Pguard.dat and and pghash.dat from the system32 folder also check that procguard.sys has been removed
Remove any registry entries by searching on "procguard" and "Process Guard" without the quotes.

Try re-installing with all unessential apps closed.
