acronis 8.0 image on compaq prliant not booting

i've created a full image backup of my proliant ML350 with hardware raid control(with array 5 container and 2 logical drives in container) and i m trying to load the image to an identical spare server; the images load successfully but the server its unable to boot. the image contains 25 spammed images and i picked image 1 and it asked me where to put it;i picked drive C(with os in it) partition 2 has data(drive d) its also picked but still server not booting up. any suggestions from anybody?

Could you please clarify in details what you are trying to do? Are you restoring the image to another server? Please make sure you have created and restored the image of the whole drive.

yes i m restoring image. from server 1 to server 2

the server tries to boot but it hangs with a blinking cursor no error messages at all

Please make sure you have your hard disk installed in BIOS as your first boot device. If it doesn't help please try to fix MBR in the way described at http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317
