KAV Lite

Hello Igor ,

Wish to ask you do you intend to release a newer version of KAV lite in the near future, now that the beta trials are over. And do you feel that the combined protection that KAV offers from virus / trojan/ worms and malware , could be enough protection without loading up ones pc with further anti trojan and worm software . (for good basic sound protection)

Dear Robert,

Version 4.5 of KAV Lite is going to be released when it is ready. I don't know exact dates, you never can tell for sure.

It is definite that with KAV Lite you are perfectly protected against viruses, worms, and trojans. Malware, speaking strictly, is not considered viruses, and we have special bases for detection of such programs, you would have to connect them manually to detect progs like porno-dialers. It is not recommended to have those additional bases loaded all the time, 'cause false detections are possible. So in my opinion KAV is a perfect protection, but you would also might want to install a firewall and probably some malware remover.
