Hello: I just wanted to know! I have "SpywareBlaster" and "Spychaser" installed on my pc, will these conflict with "XCleaner"? Thank You Tom

What is "Spychaser"?
And, are you referring to the "free" version of XCleaner, or the "full" (paid-for) version? Pete

Hi Pete: Spychaser is just a program that when you suspect spyware, then you put there name in the Spychaser window and it tells you if it is Spyware! Also, i am refering to the Free version (hoot mon, Naturally)!LOL!!

Just for the heck of it, I re-d/l'ed and installed the freeware version of XCleaner (I run SPG, among numerous other things, here, too).
No untoward occurences resulted after running it and re-starting the computer. Pete

Thank you Pieter, i got it! Now is the idea to open the bho demon once i awhile to check for additions? I have only four on it now and they are good?

Yes, that will do. I check about once a month to see if my good ones are still alive and well and if there have been no additions.
Unless you notice something suspicious ofcourse. :)

Pieter

Anytime Tom,
Always glad when I can come up with an answer. ;)

PS Javacool also has a nice program to keep an eye on them (and others) for you: BrowserHijackBlaster (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/bhblaster.html)

And, Tom, I found that trying to do anything else while XCleaner was running (opening and closing browser windows, refreshing pages, trying to open other programs) would cause XCleaner to freeze up - so you want to watch out for that. Pete

Thanks Pete, I will keep that in mind, good to know. By the way i just got an updated version of XCleaner.exe in my email, do i delete the first exe or just download the new without worrying about it? Tom OOPS, Sorry about that, i seem to have read my email to fast, it is not an updated version, just the regular exe, i had asked them to mail it to me, but you Guys already supplied me with the website and i had downloaded it. So please disregard my question? Tom
