New version of eScan's free AV program available; http://www.mwti.net/antivirus/mwav.asp
A number of new features include;
1. New features to detect Porno Dialers, Adware, Spyware and Riskware.
2. MWAV can now update itself automatically so that it can scan for all the new viruses.
3. Facility to activate itself for removing/disinfecting worms and viruses.
4. Facility to weed out worms that attach themselves to popular browsers like Internet Explorer that are not detected by popular antivirus products by using deep registry scanning.

$9.95 for one month? Doesn't that make it one of the most expensive AVs out there?

Maybe if you have a one-time use to fix problems??
OR, use the old version 4.4.7 (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=65398)
Mike
EDIT: Never mind, I bet the scan engine is different, not just the defenition files. :'(

So bascially it is saying that is will try to activate to the full version and lure you to buy it?
-{ Quote: "Moreover MWAV will remove "invalid" and "dead links" inside the registry, which often causes unnecessary warnings to fill up the Event Logs." }-
Is that a automatic thing? Would i get to choose?

Protend most of today we get are trojans as a file. Therefore deleting the proper link ( registry ) and the file would solve the problem. Does this count as deleting or Clean/Disinfect?
Are there still any hidden command line that allows us to clean?
Anyway i am glad that it Auto update itself.

Well guys,
This pisses me off...I told MicroWorld that they should adjust their pricing stategy to put up an AV or USD 14.95/year or so....And THIS is what they did?
I cant talk to them much now as my exams are nearing and I am taking a break for at least 3 months from testing eScan.
While I might continue with testing eScan, I am now testing ArcaVir from Stormbyte...still got a few doubts though.
I'll talk to MicroWorld about this though....please wait till Monday.
About the registry scanning thing....Its been doing that for ages now...It will automatically remove dead or invalid reg entries without letting you know or decide.

thanks, that is a good enough reason to not use it.
