"75" error code

Everytime I start my computer up I get a error code "75". It won't go away, even if I delete it or acknowledge it. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

You have posted this in the wrong section. Hopefully a mod will move it so you get better help.

What version of Windows do you have (95,98,XP, 2000)?
Is Windows fully loaded when you receive this message?
Do you have many startup items in the systray at the bottom right of you screen?

I have XP and it varies when I get the error message - sometimes Windows is fully loaded and other times, its not.
I don't know how many items is TOO many, so I have no idea.

I suggest the following:

Unplug from the net.
goto start menu-->run and type msconfig
goto the startup tab
uncheck everything
hit apply
restart and see if you get error
if you do not get error start checking the startup items one at a time and applying and restarting till you do get it and that will be the problem.

If this helps or not please let us know the results and we can go from there.

Actually after reading ronjor's link it looks like 2 people ran online virus scans and that fixed them up. Maybe try this first unless you have updated anti virus protection already. If you do then you can try my suggestion.

I know msconfig is not the most comprehensive startup manager but for beginners it is an easy step and by your name I presume you are?
