My WinXP registry is over 68mb's and would like to clean it and make it smaller, cause this is quite big. How would I go about doing so ?

Hi Flux !
You may wan't to try a registry cleaner.
Their are many registry cleaners available today.
I think I have tried them all.
I would recommend JV16
http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/shtml/software.shtml
or Registry Healer
http://www.zoneutils.com/regheal/index.htm
Either one of these may or may not be the very best (I think they are) but both of these registry cleaners seems to be the safest.
Hope this helps and I know their will be a myriad of recommendations ! ;D

hehe -- I know the feeling. ::)
If you install/uninstall a lot of apps like I do and some of them are registry monsters like anything from Symantec, what you probably need is a util to defrag and compress your registry. What you may have is dead space in the reg that Windows does not remove so the "size" never gets smaller. I have a couple of tools that I use. One is O&O Defrag that will defrag system files like the reg and MFT. The other is probably the best registry editor I have ever seen called Resplendent Registrar. Some name, huh! It will defrag and compress. Both of those are fairly expensive utils. There may be less expensive that will do the job, or even a freebie, but I am not aware of them. Don't know that I would trust any less capable. One keyword you must remember before attempting a defrag and compress of your reg --- BACKUPBACKUPBACKUPBACKUP. You have been warned! ;D ;D
