I recently changed ISP's to one that does not provide email so i am now using yahoo as an SMTP server. In configuration i have " mail.yahoo.com " in ISP IP address i have "www.yahoo.com " and in your email address i have the addy i want to have test sent to, I keep getting an error message "Authentication required " and a url for a yahoo mail help page that does not help at all. I use Mozilla Thunderbird as an email client. Suggestions anyone ?

Hello!
Guess this has to do with yahoo being web-based only; longer ago what you try was possible. If you would try this via your normal email client you would get the same error message.

you've to use a third party software like Freepops (http://www.freepops.org/en/).
For Yahoo, if you have POP access you can follow the setup instructions at:
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-03.html
I hope that can help you. ;)
