From Macecraft Software:

jv16 PowerTools 2005, the next-generation computer maintenance tool by Macecraft Software, will be released on Wednesday, February 23, 2005.

New features include
* AI (Artificial Intelligence) improved search features and Registry Cleaner
* Downloadable on-the-fly updates to the Registry Cleaner engine that further increase the security of the product
* Registry Find and Replace tool allows you to replace data directly from the registry
* Start menu fixer can fix broken shortcuts from your start menu and desktop with just one click
* Expanded search features give you more control over searching for files or data from the registry
* History Cleaner allows unwanted history items of many common applications to be flushed with ease
* History Manager lets users control which web browser history items are stored on the computer, or to clear them all
* Cookie Manager helps you to organize cookies and automatically removes the unwanted ones
* File Cleaner function now finds many new unused files, including unused fonts
* Privacy Protector can clean out unwanted history items automatically upon every system startup
* Analyze the contents and type of unknown files with the file analyzer

The two most important features are the integrated artificial intelligence working "under the hood" and the support for automatic updates that alone makes jv16 PowerTools 2005 an enormous leap forward.

Also, jv16 PowerTools 2005 will be shipped with a free, 60-page electronic ready-to-print handbook that contains instructions and more information about the product's features.

While other products tend to swell and get bigger with every version, jv16 PowerTools 2005's default installation package is still under 1.2 megabytes -- small enough to fit on any USB memory stick or a single floppy disk. At Macecraft Software, development doesn't mean "bloatment".

Thanks, polak. Last I'd heard, they didn't expect to have the new version ready till sometime this summer.
