I
I am looking at Good AV with low resouces, I am not Strong Surf and very low Internet activity, just Email....I have read Good things about NOD32, F-Prot, Dr.Web and Mks_2005. I used NOD32 and really was good but prefer Dr.Web or MKS, MKAS has Registry Protect and is Good, but finally I will like decide beteween MKS or Dr. Web....You suggest ?
Thank you,

F-Prot and Dr Web are the 'lightest' AV's in your list.
Between mks_vir 2005 and Dr Web, the latter should run the lightest on your computer.
You have to trial the AV's that you are interested in and see which one suits you and your system the best.

Yes, know that F-Prot has low resource but my system was running slow with this AV ( May be my Software Configuration or Hardware caused it ), MKS was Good and Dr. Web too....but really I don't know How would be better spacility in quality of Product, Protection, etc, etc.
Thank 's Blackcat

With your surfing habits, both mks_vir and Dr Web would both give you more than adequate protection and both are strong on heuristics and trojan detection.
But you may need to consider the support offered by each of these AV vendors before you make a final decision ;)

Let me just tell you that firewall and registry monitors are the first modules to be added in ArcaVir 2005 but... there is more to come:)

Ok...Think that in few time MKS would have more alternatives vs Dr.Web ?
The quality of detection how would be over ?
Thank you,

Both have very good detection rates and heuristics, DrWeb support can be sporadic at best. There have been other posts on DrWeb support problems.

maybe drweb as real time protection + the free mvti kav based on demand scanner would be a good solution. should be lightweight (drweb) and powerful kav scanning when needed

Mariusz <-QUOTE}Isn't this comment a bit of a commercial plug from a vendor of ArcaVir? If he answers questions or helps to clear up misunderstandings about his product, that's fine. But injecting a plug into a comparative discussion should be a no-no, I think. ???

Your presence & expertise in these forums is of great benefit. IMHO, ArcaVir can stand on its own merits. It is a superb AV, & has many many advocates here.

Is there any diference between Arcavir 2005 and Mks_Vir 2005(english) ?
or the only diference is the name and the support offered for each product.
Thanks in advantage
