View Full Version : is it wise to have installed more than one AV???

ok, is it recommended to have two AV programs. if yes..... do you have them both installed, keep one active all the time....and the other off, and switch between the two...... to do full scans...every now and then..... so you have an idea how "your favorite" AV is holding up?.....at a different forum someone was advising to use two AVs, and I want to know if it's a good idea...???? thanks for replies....


apparently people are using more than one AV...... still ....how safe is it ??

A lot of people use a second av as a backup, which is just fine as long as only one has it's resident scanner enabled. you never know when one av might pick up something the other missed.

this is a good one to have as a backup scanner. it can only be used as a backup as it doesn't have resident protection. BigC knows more then me, but, out of the free ones i think it does best in virus tests http://www.snapfiles.com/get/bdfree.html
