When attempting to install SpywareGuard I receive the following message:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\MSINET.OCX
An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file:
DeleteFile failed; code 5
Access is denied.

Click Retry to to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation.

What happened here? How can I install SpywareGuard without receiving this message or having to choose "Ignore" which isn't recommended?

Hi Julie,

Could you right-click the MSINET.OCX and on the version tab see what version it is.
I think that information will be usefull to javacool in helping you.

Regards,

Pieter

The file is in use by some other program you are running. To hopefully prevent this problem, you can try doing one of two things:
1.)Try to close all open programs (this may or may not get rid of the error).
2.)Reboot into Safe Mode and install SpywareGuard there.

If you need any other assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. :)
