I am looking for users' comment or some tests performed
by independants org, at first glance, seems a bit bloated software and it give me a false (but "normal") positive about a dummy *.dll for Kazaa lite.
I am too sticking with SPSD and spywareblaster, expecting de new AAA6.

Yeah, I tried it, but found it lacking, just did not have the oomphf! I felt it needed.

Sypbot, SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, BrowserHijackBlaster are my main troops defending the front line against spyware. FREE.

I am a registered AdAware Plus! user, and may give the new version a spin around the block if they ever get their act together.

Yes, I do believe it signals the dummy placed by Spybot S&D. You could ask PepiMK to make absolutely sure.
I don´t think there´s anyone more anxious about AAW6´s release then I am ;)
Maybe after that I get a chance to test BPS.
I have been planning to do a test comparing spyware removers anyway.

No, it does not : it detect only the dummie in Kazaa lite install folder. I suspect it detects by name and does not analyze the content.

I tested more than a few spyware removal programs in search of an updated,competent back-up to Spybot.BPS spyware/Adware Remover was one of those programs.They had a 15 day trial at that time.I kept it for a weekend then dumped it.It took way too long to scan my system.I ended up trialing and buying Aluria's Spyware Eliminator.I believe they still offer a 90 day trial version.They have really improved and grown the last month or so.(They released the program in Sept/02)They are very new!Here's a link: http://aluriasoftware.com

IMHO, it goes from
1.) Spybot
2.) Aluria
3.) Pest Patrol (though don't tell anyone I said that)

Despite all the hell I give Lavasoft, I played with AAW6 back when it was in alpha and it's gonna be sweet when/if it comes about. It'll be real competition for Spybot.

Well, I'm a new member in this forum as of today so I hope I can contribute to help a few of you since I've tested about every software program that has been released. All the cleaners that have been mentioned I've used at one time or another but hands down as far as deep cleaning every inch of your computer would have to be.....
ULTRA WINCLEANER 2002 UTILITY SUITE PLUS "DESTROY IT" THAT COMES BUNDLED WITH IT. (BL Corp.)
Sure you can go to their website to d/l it but when you get ready to clean up everything found during the scan, you'll be told you can't unless you purchase it...also this program is a rare beauty to find as shareware.
Comments would be welcomed from others that are familiar with this awesome program.

I have just tested it for some time now and here' my verdict on two features :-

Pop-ups - You can set any size of pop-ups and it still won't filter. If it does there's no statistics or logs to show.

Cookies - You can set to block bad cookies but what are 'bad' as defined by the software? It even block my access to hotmail!

Bascially, this software is trying to be a universal software for all sorts of evils from the net but it lacks display info, edit (accept/reject) feature, logs etc to show that it's actually functioning unlike dedicated cookie blockers and pop-up stoppers
