I would like to know just how good is Ewido for detecting things like Coolwebsearch and xxxtoolbar. I heard Ewido is effective against trojans but these days I consider the spyware just as bad as trojans and I would like to know just how good Ewido is in picking up some of the more nasty spyware.

It doesnt do anything about them, get spybot (http://security.kolla.de) and ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com) for those

proof, we need proof...without that (proof) , posting this kind of things would fall under the categorie: personal taste and like we all know: that differs from person to person.
I have Ewido and it definately finds spyware, not all of them but I have adaware, spybot and Giant to backup. called layered security.
TDS, Boclean and Ewido are top products, you cannot go wrong.

they all detect spyware...not all of it...you allways need a antispyware product for backing up...allways...or you can try linux lol...spywarefree still:D
