hi,

I just installed spyblaster - but what if my machine already had something malicious on it? will spyblaster kill it or does it only act as a preventative measure for FUTURE infections?

cheers!

I believe it prevents windows from running them full stop, so in essence, its good news.

But id sort them out if i were you, run spybot (http://security.kolla.de/) and ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/)

you wouldnt believe how often i post those links...

Hi,

SpywareBlaster's protection methods can help prevent the execution/use of potentially unwanted BHOs/Toolbars in Internet Explorer, if they are already installed.

However, as LinuxPenguin suggested, it is best to run a scan with anti-spyware removal applications just in case, to remove anything that might be present.

Best regards,
