Does Spyware Blaster do it's work by adding a browser helper to IE? If so, what is the listed name . WinXp - SP2 allows you to manage the browser helper "add-on's" , but I didn't recognize one from Spyware Blaster. I also checked the list of items loaded at start-up, and didn't see anything listed there either. I was curious if it used a resident process in memory, and used the IE helper route.

Thanks

Spywareblaster sets kill bits in the registry as protection against activex. It does not use a BHO it actually does not run at all except when you update it. The kill bits work all of the time and SB does not need to start on boot.
