View Full Version : CookieMuncher killing my CPU

I found out that munching cookies might not be the best way managing them. Using TaskInfo 2002 I saw how much CookieMuncher " munched" CPU capasity, 33 % and even more !! And you guess I could feel it too, like in slowmotion movie everything got slower and slower. So, my conclution is that I disabled CM. Opera can do cookie works as well if not even better.

All suggestions are welcome and will be considered.

Actually I think your broswer will do a better job than any cookie manager.....if fact,, I set my broswer not to accept cookies.....an just quit using cookie managers....
I was not sure if you wanted to continue using cookieMuncher so wanted to help you if I could....so installed it for that test....otherwise I don't use it....

You seem to have everything under control...glad for that

Why don't you allow cookies and have Analogx Cookiewall manage them?

(you have to visit that site on a regular basis ;) )

Meneer,

thanx, maybe I give a try for cookiewall.
JayK, who told cookie managing program should be "new" ? :P Atleast it is new for me :). Opera browser itself is a very good at blocking cookies by the way.

And Meneer, welcome at wilders !

CookieWall is currently only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer

So that about cookiewall, I still surf with Opera ::)

Hi guys.

Also how about latest MRUBlaster it now manages cookies and TIF's.
Also Internet Sweeper..

both availabe here from Wilders. MRUBlaster also provides secure shredding in the plug-ins of managing the cookies part.

I will admit that the above you have to do a sweep or clean of them to get rid of them.

There are literally hundreds of programs to manage cookies.

Also AdSubtract [free version] will manage cookies very well. This one you can have sites set to block cookies in the first place.
