I'm not sure if I am posting this in the correct place or not but here goes . . .

I installed SpyBlaster (v2.0.1) this morning on my pc and then rebooted. I was expecting to see a desktop icon or/plus a system tray icon displayed after I rebooted but I do not have an icon for SpyBlaster in either place.

This is probably a stupid question but how to I go in to this program to check settings/available updates without the missing icons. All other similar software that I have installed (i.e. Spybot) automatically puts an icon on my desktop for these purposes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

SpywareBlaster does not need to run in the background - you run it once, select the kill bits, press the "Protect Against Checked Items" button, and you can exit the program. :)

The only time you'll need to run it again would be to download updates and check all new items (then press the "Protect" button again).

There should be a folder in your start menu named "SpywareBlaster" where there is a shortcut to the program.

Just got started with SpyBlaster myself, suggest you go to the folder it's in, find the exe. file and "send to" the desktop. If you want it in your lower toolbar, just drag it. Good luck!
