I have a generalized problem here.

When I boot my computer, I get a message by Windows saying some files are not known and I have to put the win CD-ROM to fix them... I tried to fix windows, booting with the CD-ROM, but it did not worked.

One of the obvious problem I see is Zone Alarm.

I am trying to uninstall zone alarm on my computer and I am getting the following error message :"Validation failed for C:\....\Temp\VSINIT.dll"

When I try to open Zone Alarm I get :"Validation failed For C:\...system32\VSINIT.dll"

One thing : My program Zone Alarm is installed in D:\, not C:\... ??!?

Moreover, my MSN does not work at all (it might be caused by zone alarm)

All those problems just started 2 days ago, for no apparent reason (Virus I guess)... I've been using Zone Alarm and MSN without problems for years...

I've tried a bunch of stuff I've seen on the net, but nothing worked.
I would be awsome if anyone could give me a hand.

So sorry to hear this your options are painful. And listed above manual uninstall. If you do not uninstall ZAP correctly from the get go it can really be tough. But you can succeed many have. I have only done the clean uninstall method removing all traces from the start. Sorry I can not be of much help. :-[

Have read the posts re uninstall ZA and i hope that i don't have problems as I uninstalled the Pro 5 purchased version and intend to send it back for a refund as it just taxes my resources too much and the whole program i found as a pain.
i used Reg Supreme that took out a lot of ZA labs junk and so I hope that this is all that is in there.
Any comments from members regarding this?
I would appreciate it very much.
I am in search of a decent, reliable firewall without headaches and setting issues. Regards

Some people occasionally have trouble uninstalling ZA. If you're uninstall went ok and finished properly, then you're probably ok. Good luck trying to get a refund though, since they allow you to trial ZA Pro for 30 days before buying it.
