I have been using spybot, adaware se and avg - all freebies that seem to work pretty well.

my question: spybot finds infected files that it cant remove until a reboot - then it reboots and rescans. It finds the spyware files, but then locks up when trying to open the program so they can be fixed saying "invalid paramter". Adaware does not seem to find those files, so i do not know how to get rid of them...

any advice?

thanks

1.see the directorie in reg with spybot
2. ctrl+alt+supr
3. desactivate explorer.exe
4. desactivate suspicious files (name of spyware if you know)
5. run regedit and (export if you sure...) delete files wich you've seen in spybot
6. (re-scan if you want) and reboot ;)

(sorry i dont speak english ;)

Sometimes programs will do a scan when you restart your computer because some files cannot be removed while they are running. If the removal program is removed before windows fully starts up, the bad file can be removed sucessfully.

@ mikeydepa: if you want you can post a hjt log here

http://spyblocker-software.com/IPB/...hp?showforum=20

and I'll see if you are infected with spyware/malware
and clean it but follow the manual first.

thanx

cheers

Do it in safe mode, see if that does the job.
