can anybody comment on CyberScrub AV Lifetime Edition

hi everybody!!!!!
In a month I have to either renew Norton AV, or buy another one.
I came across this one, on "updatexp.com" and it offers a free trial too....
What seems so new to me, and appealing in the same time.... the fact that you pay one time the price $ 49 ??? and not ever have to pay for the 5 yr. period for the upgrades.... it may even be convenient if I have to travel overseas for a while....
It said that because it's a new technology is better than Norton and etc., etc., if anybody is using it ? can i get some input on the matter??? thanks!

If you need more click on search (at the top of the page ) and enter cyberscrub . It appears to be the" Kav light " that Kaspersky decided to drop last year. It has reappeared as Cyberscrub antivirus. There may be better options for the long term than this . If you lurk around the anti virus forum you may see some nice options.

I seem to find the process of finding a "good" AV quite frustrating....Is there a web link or something that lists top 10 let's say, so I can get an idea or any other sugestions on few names. I'm looking for something easy to use and good protection, maybe around $ 50 -$70 the most, thanks again!!!

If your computer is...
A) Fast CPU & plenty RAM, then I recommend Kaspersky AV

B) Slow CPU &/or low RAM, then I recommend NOD32 or DrWeb

It costs $39 from the ice-kav link above. with 30% discount the following year. Kaspersky does give very good all round virus/trojan/worm malware protection.

If you do decide to drop Nortons then it may be a good move to uninstall it completely before trying out another antivirus product .

If your surfing habits are tidy you might find that a good free anti virus such as Avast home edition is all you need. http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html .
They have a good forum for support http://forum.avast.com/ There is also excellent support here at wilders from experienced Avast users.

hey guys, thanks so much for all the information.....guess what???
I have used "avast home edition" and I absolutely loved it, very easy to use, loved the update feature.... here is what happened
I got my dell computer in June and didn't use any protection of any kind, I had SP1 on my system and upgrade it to SP2 a month later, all this time my computer was infected and didn't know until my browser would "set itself" to some "CoolWebSearch" web page. I got Pestpatrol and deleted a lot of "stuff" but could not remove the CWS "aboutblank"... in the meantime I got Zonelab firewall which i liked alot too... and Avast, but since I was so "infected" and it would find a lot of stuff... I couldn't really tell "how reliable" it is, because of the way my computer was at the time, but I liked it enough to recommend it to other people....that wouldn't want to pay for an AV...When I thought I had my computer "cleaned up", my computer crashed and had to install windows again, and that's how I got to use Norton AV, the guy at dell told me that I should just have a good AV( he suggested Norton) and not worry about anything else, but I'm not sure if I want to get stuck with Norton, sometimes my husband forgets to turn on the "internet security" and I found some 162 viruses which were deleted on my weekly scan......... I keep going to avast page and look every now and then, and I think they've added the "internet security" feature....someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks again so much for all your input !!!

I think Avast sounds like a good option , there is good support with this also.
If you are running with a firewall ( as you do ) ... you may want to add "Ewido " a good free compliment to your anti virus (avast)
