These 2 new folders just showed up in 'my documents'......They were not there earlier!....where do they belong?....I don't really want them in my docs.....I would like them where they were.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Dumbuck.
EDIT: These were only created tonight at 8 and 11pm. 2kb and 33kb respectively. What did I do? or how did it happen? Should I delete?

-{ Quote: "Brad,

I think the 'my websites' folder belongs in 'my webs'?....I don't remember the other one. I never use these folders. And I hate change!!! would just like to put them back in their correct place.
Brad.

-{ Quote: "Am I correct you mean the _vti_ folders?" }- There is a vti folder in 'my webs'.....I think the websites one came from 'my webs' but unsure where 'my data sources' should live. I suppose I can just wait til I get home from holidays and look on my backup HDD to see where they were. I was just a bit concerned at why they popped up in my documents?????
Thanks for your help anyway,
Brad.

Regards, Brad.

I don't have a clue Brad. I guess I would try to remember anything I installed, etc.
Do you any form of voice messaging etc?

You could add .old to those files and see if something complains. Those files are hidden according to your screenshot.

I never heard of cnf or vti format files before. What are those? ???

cnf format files seem to have something to do with internet IP addresses...

CNF files are text editable files. From what I have been able to determine they can be the following formats:

Call to an ip:

[ConferenceShortcut]
ConfName=a.b.c.d
Address=a.b.c.d
CallFlags=65543
Transport=1 where a.b.c.d is the IP address to call.

Yeah I saw that stuff....and vti files are to do with 'frontpage' and webpages. Still doesn't explain where 2 new folders came from.

Its the folders that turned up.....most of the files in the new fiolders are duplicates of other files in other folders.

If you've ever looked at the folder structure of a FrontPage web site, you've no doubt noticed folders with funny names like _vti_cnf, _borders, etc. FrontPage uses these folders to host files that specify various things it doesn't maintain in each page's HTML itself, such as shared borders and file properties. In particular, FrontPage creates a _vti_cnf folder in each folder that hosts HTML, image, and other browsable files, and for each of these files, FrontPage creates a configuration file of the same name in the corresponding _vti_cnf folder.

I think the files came from an internet website.

-{ Quote: "http://tinyurl.com/6v3ts" }- Thanks for your time Ron.....I'm not overly concerned.....have to get some sleep, it's 2.10am now....having trouble concentrating with the echo. Will have a look tomorrow.
Cheers,
Brad.
PS. Deleting these two folders will not delete any file which I do not have already.
